Note to Matt Yglesias–if you’re going to criticize John McCain’s biography tour, you should at the very least know the man’s biography.

    LOL, well, at least he’s published the update where he pries his foot out of his mouth. I love this comment someone posted there: "McCain’s already got 2 out of his 3 biological children in the military. As for Meghan McCain being "seemingly unemployed" — you just linked to her blog. She’s ‘employed’ in the same profession as you. Why should she get a real job and not you?" Game, set, match, I’d say.

    The entire "I’m not saying war supporters should enlist, but yea, they really should enlist" argumernt is a great big canard.  The fact that we have a civilian dictated military bond to the laws and ideals of the country rather than a general or a king is one of the things that makes this country great. 

    The left seems to be advocating Juntas in the way they rest so much prestige on military figures.  The argument is absurd–Oliver North is a decorated vet, this doesn’t mean I like a damn thing he has to say.
